About Us

Balance Human Resources Consulting Pty Ltd is a preferred supplier of human resource management and industrial relations support to the Local Government sector in South Australia.

General Manager Rob Wallace has 25 years of experience in industrial relation matters having worked in Australia and the United States of America and holds qualifications in Law, Arts, Change Management, Management and Training.

Rob commenced his career with the Liquor Trades Union in 1989 and became a Senior Workplace Relations advisor with the Office of the employment advocate in 2000.

From 2002-2005, Rob was the National Human Resource Manager for Polyaire Air-conditioning and then took up the position of On-board Human Resource Manager for Royal Caribbean Cruises in the United States.

After a short stint with Toyota Motor Company in Altona, Victoria, Rob held the position of Senior Industrial Relations Advisor with the Local Government Association of South Australia from 2006 until 2014.

Rob is now the General Manager of Balance HR and Municipal Training (RTO).

David Steel is our Principal Consultant and joins Balance HR after serving as a Commissioner with the Industrial Relations Commission of South Australia.  David has developed his expertise with Business SA and held several high profile positions.
